Formal and Romantic in Niagara Wedding

We had the pleasure of working with Becca and Terry, whose destination wedding at Niagara Falls gave us plenty of inspiration. We enjoyed their color palette of blush and navy, and the opportunity to add some gold ink to their vintage inspired vibe.

Formal and Romantic in Niagara Wedding

For Becca and Terry’s design, we were thrilled to use a cool printing technique called thermography. This process uses heat to apply inks to paper that results in a glossy, slightly raised finish that looks very luxe while being less expensive than traditional letterpress. It can be a great option for couples who are looking for that wow factor while working within a budget!

We created an invitation suite for Becca and Terry in navy and blush, which have been popular colors over the past year. The navy is formal and traditional, and the blush tones are neutral but add softness, romance, and subtle color. A beautiful digital calligraphy font, hand-drawn flourishes, and the metallic gold thermography were other focal points of the design.

Glitz & Glamour Durham Wedding

We often get requests for location-themed invitations and the skyline images we create are a popular choice. This time we were able to amp up the glam! This Durham wedding invitation suite features a blush pink and gold color scheme. To top it off we added a bold gold glitter band wrap. The combination really catches your eye.

The programs include an illustration of Duke Chapel, where the ceremony was held. Dorothy and John had us create many extra details for their reception held at Bay 7 in the American Tobacco Campus. Extras include menus, thank you notes, and even a sign suggesting guests try the night’s signature drink “The Crash Davis”. The name being a reference to the couple’s newly shared last name.

Congrats Dorothy & John, and thank you for choosing us to be a part of your special event!

Typography Focused Invitation in Blush

A trend that is taking the wedding invitation marketplace by storm lately revolves around featuring strong, bold, typography focused elements. As designers, this is music to our ears. We love playing with typography, and when it also gets to be a key focus of the design, that’s even better. This was our chance to put our own spin on the trend, mixing it with travel-themed elements.

Typography Focused Invitation Details

This suite features warm ecru paper, blush key features, and eggplant accents. A textured “seashell” paper backing card with subtle gold reflects adds polish as well as pop to the suite. Most noteworthy, the main typeface used added the perfect amount of flair in addition to a handmade feel. A monogram of the couple’s initials was also created to tie their style through to the envelopes and thank you notes. Boarding passes took the place of place cards for this reception and corresponded to a “location” found on the matching tables markers. (We really love doing travel themes and have many ideas we can tweak for your event!) T-shirts and koozies made for useful mementos of the occasion.

Congratulations Jessye & Daniel!

Playful Chapel Hill Farm Wedding

We had the pleasure of working with Jessye and Daniel, a lovely couple who met through going to school together at UNC. Their playful wedding was held at The Chapel Hill Carriage House, a working farm, with goats and alpacas happy to pose for photos and befriend wedding guests. The lush summer flowers and foliage provided a natural inspiration for their color palette, and their love of travel became part of the design.

Playful Chapel Hill Farm Wedding

For Jessye and Daniel’s design, we wanted a playful feeling to correlate with the whimsical farm wedding they had planned. Their color palette of blush and purple carried through the floral arrangements at the wedding and reception, while the couple’s love of travel was reflected in the table numbers and escort cards at the reception. A beautiful digital calligraphy font and custom monogram were other focal points of the design.
