Bride’s Parents Hosting

For wedding invitation wording, the bride’s parent’s names are frequently included at the top of the invitation request or at the bottom of the invitation, because the traditional etiquette is to include the names of the hosts or whomever is paying for the event.

If the bride’s parents’ last name is on the invitation, it is not necessary to include her surname, although many brides prefer to have their full name also on the invitation. A lot of this traditional phrasing also applies to formal events such as a Sweet 16 party or a Bar Mitzvah.
