Especially if you have many guests who will be traveling, a save-the-date card is a good thing to send so that your guests may make plans ahead of time to travel to your event. A recent trend has been a save-the-date magnet, which is very convenient for posting on the fridge as a reminder to RSVP as soon as the invitation arrives.
A save-the-date card can act simply as an announcement of your engagement. Or you can also include helpful information about travel, hotel accommodations, and things to do in the area of your wedding. Don’t forget to include a website address if you have one so that guests can check back for updates.
Save-the-date cards are sent out four to eight months before a wedding event.
